The Virginia BBQ Fest and The Legacy Of Giving Festival

Fun DMC spent this weekend on the festival stage. On Friday night the band made their way west of Springfield to the 52nd Annual Virginia BBQ. Following the Little Miss and Miss Virginia pageants, the band took to the stage for a fast-paced, high energy two-hour set against the backdrop of the carnival midway. Schnake Sound was once again on site to provide production. This was the second time in as many weeks we have worked with their company and the quality of equipment and service was second to none.
Saturday found the band on the main stage at the Legacy Of Giving Fest. Over the course of Friday and Saturday, over 60 bands appear on five stages. The event raises money for 10 charities. The band arrived on-site to stage their equipment and load in. However, before changeover, the members of Fun DMC made their way over to the human Hungry Hungry Hippos game for a very competitive round of everyone’s favorite childhood game. The band hit the stage at 3:00 and Washington Street began to fill up with new and old fans alike and for the next hour the members of Fun DMC wowed their crowd with the best of mashups, medleys, and mixtapes.
The band is off for the weekend but will return to the stage at The Boar’s Nest on Friday, June 22nd. See you there.
