With the recently announced Rage Against the Machine reunion tour it seems appropriate that this week’s Mashup Monday post should involve the 90’s angriest band. YouTuber groboclone brings us this unholy mashup of RATM’s Killing in the Name and Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles, which is quite possibly the unlikeliest of bands to be mashed together. While Killing in the Name is an anthem to fight back against the “Man,” A Thousand Miles is definitely one of the most well-known songs about love to ever exist and makes it funny to listen to them together.

It works though, it definitely fits together pretty nicely. But I would not expect this to make it to the Fun DMC set list. As much as I love RATM, their language makes it difficult to play these songs at a wedding, and it’s not quite RATM if you aren’t swearing right along with it.
