Ask A Sound Engineer

One of the things that makes Springfield, Illinois amazing is the thriving live music scene. We recently highlighted some of the incredible vocalists from some awesome bands, but none of the awesome musicians in this area would be able to get the dance floor jumping without a talented sound engineer working their magic from the back of a crowd. Luckily, Springfield is home to the best of the best, and we were excited to reach out to a few of them and ask them to share a bit about what a typical night looks like to them, what gear is essential, what’s the worst thing that has happened on their stage, and what songs they’re sick of hearing. We’ve had the opportunity to work with almost all of them, from working with the in-house guys at The Curve Inn, Blue Grouch, or Weebles, or the hired guns to take on the festivals like the Illinois State Fair and Downtown Fourth of July Celebration.
