How do you prepare/warmup to sing for a whole show?

I usually don’t do any type of warm ups. I just try and make sure the first couple songs are easy ones that are within my comfort level.

What is your drink of choice on a show night?

Drinks at a show are commonly a jug of my own concoction that consists of vodka & water.

What’s your remedy when your voice is gone and the show is about to start?

Remedy for a worn out voice is lots of rest, hot tea, and gargle with salt water. I also read that Naproxen Sodium is good for sore throats. Don’t know how true that is but I do it and it seems to help.

What singers inspire you?

I’ve always listened to the old country legends, but most inspiring for me was the “Class of 84” Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Alan Jackson, & a little Clint Black. Those boys set the pace for country music being more “mainstream” and they were making their way as I was growing up.

What song has challenged you the most?

Most challenging song I’ve had to learn is Garth Brooks- Ain’t Goin Down Till The Sun Comes Up. Damn song still causes me trouble, lol.
